SNOW!!!

We received a few inches of snow today in the largest snow storm to hit the valley in over 30 years. It started snowing at 10:30 a.m. and is still snowing as we make this post (11:30 p.m.). Ryan had a terrible time getting home because the roads were a mess. His normal 15 minute drive home lasted 1.5 hours. Since this is a once in a lifetime occasion, we headed outside for some fun.
This was around 2:00 p.m., and was only the beginning.

Early in the day.

Around 10:30 p.m.

The official Brunson weather station read almost 8 inches.

Carter and Dad beginning to build a snowman.

Palm trees and snow? This is Las Vegas? We don't have much snow gear, so Carter was dressed in tennis shoes, knit gloves, jeans, etc., but absolutely loved the snow. When he first got outside, he'd simply stick his hands out to catch snow flakes and then screamed out of excitement.

Was he having fun? This smile says it all!

How fun! Carter's little face looks so cold but his SMILE warms you right up! So much fun to have so much snow so close to Christmas!
